Manchester is a City of Calgary operations centre located at 651 25 Avenue Southeast, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This page will cover Building U, which houses several offices. The building was built sometime between 1990 and 1995, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in 2014.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Mircom’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All indoor notification appliances are System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd). For outdoor notification, there is a System Sensor P2RKA weatherproof horn/strobe (red, wall-mount) outside the main entrance.

All pull stations are Mircom MS-401AD addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Mircom MIX-2251BA addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in most areas, and there are Mircom MIX-5351RBA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in other areas.

There are Mircom MP-300 end-of-line resistor plates on all signal circuits.
