The Calgary Fire Department is the City of Calgary’s fire department. This page will cover Station 20, located at 2800 Peacekeepers Way Southwest, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The station opened in 1977, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in the 2000s.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Simplex 4100U addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

All notification appliances are Simplex “TrueAlert” 4906-9127 horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9001 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the office area. There are Simplex 4098-9733 addressable fixed/rate-of-rise heat detectors throughout the vehicle bay. All detectors are mounted on Simplex 4098-9792 bases. There are Simplex 4098-9755 addressable photoelectric duct smoke detectors on all air handling units.

There are Simplex 2081-9040C end of line resistor plates on all signal circuits.
