The Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium is a 2,500 seat concert venue located at 11455 87 Avenue NW, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The building is owned and operated by the Alberta Government, along with its twin, the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. The building was originally built in 1957, and has been renovated and expanded several times. The fire alarm system was most recently upgraded in 2022.
System Specifications (2022-present)[edit | edit source]
FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by a Simplex 4100ES addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in a mechanical room, and is equipped with the TSD/Color ES display. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert coding is 20BPM, and the alarm coding is temporal.

There are Simplex 4009 booster power supplies in several areas.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
All indoor notification appliances are Wheelock MT-24MCW-FR horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to horn/various candela).
For outdoor notification, there are Wheelock MTWP-2475W-FR weatherproof horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to horn, 180cd) outside the panel location and one entrance.

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9004CA addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in most corridors and lobbies, and at the top of the auditorium.
There are Simplex 4098-9733 addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in some areas.
All aforementioned detectors are mounted on Simplex 4098-9792 bases.
There are Simplex 4098-9755 addressable photoelectric duct smoke detectors on all air handling units.
Modules[edit | edit source]
There are Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Simplex 4090-9002 addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There are Simplex 4090-9116 addressable isolator modules on all SLCs.

There are Simplex 2081-9040C end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
