Tower Centre is a 5 story office/retail building located at 131 9 Ave SW, Calgary AB. It was originally built in 1968 as part of a Rocky Mountaineer train station, which closed in 1990. The building is also attached to the Vertigo Theatre, located at 115 9 Ave SE, which opened in 2003. The fire alarm system supervises both the Tower Centre and Vertigo Theatre, and was upgraded in 2003.

FACP[edit | edit source]
The buildings are protected by a networked Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The panel locations are unknown, but there are several nodes. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, is equipped with voice evacuation, and is configured for two-stage operation. The tones and/or messages are currently unknown at this time.

All notification appliances are EST “Integrity” 965-5A-8RW speaker/strobes (ceiling-mount, round, 8”, 15cd).
Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]
Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
All pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable two-stage pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the buildings, mounted on SIGA-SB. There is also a sprinkler system.
Modules[edit | edit source]
There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
EOLs[edit | edit source]
There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
