Motel 6 is a chain of budget hotels in the United States and Canada. This particular hotel is located at 2 Progress Ave, Nashua, NH. It was built in 1986, and the fire alarm system is original, with parts replaced as deficiencies occur.

The building is protected by a Fire-Lite MiniScan 112 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located behind the front desk. The system coding is continuous.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Space Age Electronics 2DCD mechanical horns (red), mounted on Space Age Electronics AV32 light plates (red lens, FIRE lettering).
There is a Wheelock AS-24MCW horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) in the lobby as a deficiency replacement.
There is a Gentex “Commander 3” GEC3-24WR horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) in the laundry room as a deficiency replacement.

All pull stations are FCI MS-2 conventional dual-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are System Sensor 1800 ionization smoke detectors throughout the building.
There are also System Sensor “i3” C2W-B photoelectric smoke detectors as deficiency replacements.
The laundry room has System Sensor 5601 fixed/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
