Orchard Park Shopping Centre is an indoor shopping mall located at 2271 Harvey Ave, Kelowna, British Columbia. It is the biggest mall between Calgary and Vancouver, with over 170 stores, and 685,000 square feet of retail space. The mall opened its doors in 1971, and was expanded in 1992 and downsized in 2011. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2011.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The mall is protected by an EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The system is a network consisting of many nodes. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal is 20BPM, followed by temporal as the alarm signal.

All notification appliances are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong).

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the mall, mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.

There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
