Royal Hotel is a chain of midrange hotels owned by Wyndham. The chain is headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey, USA, and has locations worldwide. This particular hotel is located at 8450 Sparrow Drive, in Leduc, Alberta, Canada. The hotel primarily serves travelers from the nearby Edmonton International Airport. The building is protected by an Edwards EST2 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Edwards’ Signature addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal coding is 20BPM, followed by temporal for the evacuation signal.

There are Edwards “Integrity Powersaver” 757H-15PSW horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, 15cd) throughout the common areas of the hotel.
All guest rooms have Edwards 683-1C silenceable mini-horns (white, wall-mount) and Edwards 202-75PSW remote strobes (white, wall-mount, 75cd).

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
All public areas of the hotel are protected by a sprinkler system with waterflow detection. As such, no detectors are present in these areas.
Modules[edit | edit source]
There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
