The Sawmill Prime Rib & Steak House is a chain of steakhouse restaurants in Alberta. This particular location is located at 8225 Sparrow Crescent, Leduc, Alberta. It was originally built in 2006 as Pluto’s Restaurant & Pub, and then became J’Wok N Grill in 2013, and finally was renovated and became Sawmill in 2016. The fire alarm system was installed during the renovation.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Simplex 4007ES addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the lobby, and is equipped with 4007-9805 LED annunciation. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable initiating and IDNAC addressable signaling protocols, and the system coding is temporal. One NAC is IDNAC, and the other is SmartSync.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Simplex “TrueAlert” 4906-9228 addressable horn/strobes (red, ceiling-mount, set to 30cd).
There is a Simplex “TrueAlert ES” 49AV-WRF addressable horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) in the lobby.

All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9004 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

None noticed, but most likely Simplex 4098-9733 addressable fixed/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the kitchen, mounted on 4098-9792 bases. The building does not have a sprinkler system.
