Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre is a hospital located at 5228 50 Ave, Rimbey, Alberta. It is owned and operated by Alberta Health Services. The hospital was originally built in 1945, expanded in 1982, 1990, and again in 2008 with a major renovation. The oldest existing part of the hospital is the 1982 expansion. The fire alarm system was installed following the 2008 expansion.

FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal is 20BPM, followed by the alarm signal, temporal.
Annunciators[edit | edit source]
There is an Edwards EST 3-LCDANN LCD annunciator in the nurses’ office.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
All notification appliances are EST “Genesis” G1-HDVM horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]
Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
All pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable two-stage pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building.
Some areas have EST SIGA-HRS addressable 135-degree fixed temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
All detectors are mounted on SIGA-SB bases.
Modules[edit | edit source]
There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches in the 2008 addition.
There are EST SIGA-CR addressable relays for fire door release and overhead garage door closure.
EOLs[edit | edit source]
There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
