The Sherwood Park Mall is a shopping mall located at 2020 Sherwood Drive, in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada. The mall is owned by H&R REIT, and has 464,000 square feet of total retail space. The mall was originally built in 1972, expanded and renovated in 1984, and was expanded again in 2000 and 2012. The fire alarm system was upgraded as part of the 2012 renovation; most notification appliances are from the 2000 expansion.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS2-3030C addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert coding is 20BPM, and the alarm coding is temporal.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is a Notifier LCD-160 annunciator in the west entrance vestibule.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong).
Most bells are mounted remotely; bells in DSW are mounted on Wheelock RSSP-24MCW-FR strobe plates (red, set to 15cd).
Ardene has Notifier KMS-6-24A motor bells (6” gong) mounted on Wheelock RSSP-24MCW-FR strobe plates (red, set to 15cd).
Body Shop and Rogers have Notifier KMS-10-24A motor bells (10” gong); these are mounted remotely in Body Shop, and on Wheelock RSSP-24MCW-FR strobe plates (red, set to 15cd) in Rogers.
The food court area has Edwards 202-5A-T remote strobes (red, equipped with LKC-1 ceiling lenses, 15cd) and System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” SWA remote strobes (white, wall-mounted on ceiling, set to 15cd).
Bath & Body Works has System Sensor SCWA remote strobes (white, ceiling-mount, set to 15cd).

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

Most pull stations are Notifier MPS-950KB conventional two-stage single-action pull stations, wired to Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules (2 per device).
The west entrance and Safeway Liquor have Notifier N-MPS-2A addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the kitchen suppression systems of each restaurant, and the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Notifier FRM-1A addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There are Notifier ISO-XA isolator modules on the SLC.

There are a mix of Notifier EOL-CR and Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all circuits supervised by monitor modules, and all sprinkler and signal circuits.
