TAS Refrigerated Distribution Inc. is a cold storage facility located at 4060 78 Avenue Southeast, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building opened in 1980, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in 2019.

FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by a Simplex 4007ES addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main data room. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
Annunciators[edit | edit source]
There is a Simplex 4606-9202 annunciator in the main entrance vestibule.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
The cold-storage areas have System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RKA weatherproof horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
All other areas have System Sensor “L-Series” P2RLA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
For outdoor notification, there is a System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” SRKA weatherproof remote strobe (red, wall-mount) outside the main entrance.

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
Most pull stations are Simplex 4099-9004 addressable single-action pull stations. The freezers have Simplex 2099-9754 conventional single-action pull stations, wired to Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor modules.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There is a Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detector in the second floor electrical room, mounted on a Simplex 4098-9792 addressable base. The building is equipped with a sprinkler system, and there are three Notifier NFS-320C pre-action systems in the building.
Modules[edit | edit source]
There are Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor modules and Simplex 4090-9002 addressable relay modules serving various purposes in the building.
EOLs[edit | edit source]
There are Simplex 2081-9040C end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
