15 East Lake Hill NE is the address of a City of Airdrie operations complex. The complex is the main service centre for all City of Airdrie vehicles, and houses offices for several city employees. The main building was built in the 1980s, and the secondary garage was built in the 2000s and expanded in 2023. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2008.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The buildings are protected by a Simplex 4010 hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Booster Panels[edit | edit source]

There is a Simplex 4009 addressable booster power supply in the main maintenance bay.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Simplex “TrueAlert” 4906-9127 horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
The office area has Simplex 4906-9128 horn/strobes (red, ceiling-mount, set to 15cd).
Areas requiring additional visual coverage have Simplex 4906-9101 remote strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
Outside the main entrance and in the wash bay, there are Simplex 4906-9131 weatherproof horn/strobes (red, wall-mount).

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

Most pull stations are Simplex 4099-9001 addressable single-action pull stations.
Some areas have Simplex 4099-9004 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the office area.
The main building’s bays have Simplex 4098-9733 addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors; these can also be found in areas such as copier rooms and washrooms.
The east bay has Potter CR-135W conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the original part, and System Sensor 5601A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the expansion.
There is a Mircom TD-200 conventional 200°F fixed-temperature heat detector in the outdoor storage area.
All addressable detectors are mounted on Simplex 4098-9792 bases.

There are Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor modules supervising all conventional zones.
There are Simplex 4090-9002 addressable relay modules for HVAC and gas shutdowns.
