Safeway is a chain of grocery stores owned by Sobeys. This particular store is located in Westbrook Mall, located at 1200 37 St SW, Calgary, AB. The store opened in 1964, and was expanded in 1995. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2002.
This system does not monitor the mall or the Walmart store.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The store is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs EST's Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances are Edwards “Integrity” 757-5A-T horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

Most pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.
There is one Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull station in the hallway to the mall, wired to an EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor module.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are two Edwards SIGA-OSD addressable optical smoke detectors in the entrance, mounted on SIGA-SB bases.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
