Best Western Plus is a hotel chain owned by Best Western. The chain is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, and has locations worldwide. This particular hotel is located at 84 Lansdowne Street East, in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. The hotel was built in 1955, and was renovated in 1981 and 2019. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 1981, and the panel was replaced in 2019.

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located behind the front desk. The system coding is likely temporal.
This panel was installed in 2019 replacing a Mirtone 7900.

Most notification appliances are Edwards “Durabel” 6100D vibrating bells (6” gong).
The weight room and breakfast area have Edwards MB6-24 motor bells (6” gong).
There is a Mircom BL-6B motor bell (6” gong) in the pool area as a deficiency replacement.

Most pull stations are Mirtone 73303 conventional single-action pull stations.
Some areas have Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull stations as deficiency replacements.
There are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations in some areas.
There is a Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull station in the pool area as a deficiency replacement.

There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors throughout all common areas.
There are FDD CR-135 conventional 135-degree fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in most guest rooms.
There are System Sensor 5601A and Edwards 281C conventional 135-degree fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in some rooms.
There is an Edwards 281B-PL conventional 135-degree fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector in the breakfast area.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all circuits.
