The building is protected by a Simplex 4100U addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
All common areas have Simplex “TrueAlert” 4906-9127 horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
All dorm rooms have Simplex 4901-9852C silenceable mini horns (white, wall-mount).
For outdoor notification, there is a Simplex 4906-9105 weatherproof remote strobe (red, wall-mount) outside the main entrance.

All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9001 addressable single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in all living areas, at the top of each stairwell, in the kitchen and offices, and in the electrical and storage room.
There are Simplex 4098-9733 addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the apparatus bay and mechanical room.

There are Simplex 4090-9116 addressable isolator modules on the SLC.

There are Simplex 2081-9040C end of line resistor plates on all signal circuits.
