Daysland School is a public school located at 5222 50 Street, in Daysland, Alberta, Canada. The school is owned and operated by the Battle River School Division (BRSD). The school originally opened in 1927, and was renovated in 1988 and 1998. The fire alarm system was upgraded in the 2010s.

The building is protected by a Simplex addressable fire alarm system. The panel model and location are unknown, but it is believed to be a 4100ES based on the size of the building. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

All indoor notification appliances are Simplex “TrueAlert” 4906-9129 horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, set to 15cd). For outdoor notification, there is a Simplex 4906-9131 weatherproof horn/strobe (red, wall-mount) outside the building.

The building was protected by an Edwards 6500 conventional fire alarm system. The panel location was unknown. The system coding was continuous.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances were Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong). These were mounted on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd) in the areas remodeled in 1998, and mounted remotely in all other areas.
