Manchester is a City of Calgary operations centre located at 651 25 Avenue Southeast, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This page will cover Building S, which houses various city vehicles. The building was built in the early 1970s, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in the 2000s.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by an Edwards FireShield FS1004G conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in a garage bay. The system coding is continuous.

Boosters[edit | edit source]

There is an Edwards BPS10A booster power supply located next to the main FACP.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Edwards MB10-24 motor bells (10” gong) mounted on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd). Some areas have Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong) mounted on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd).

There are Edwards 281B-PL conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors throughout the building.

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all circuits.
