The Nexen Building is a high-rise office building located at 667 7 Street Southwest, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building opened in 1979, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in the 2010s.

System Specifications (2010s-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Siemens FireFinder XLS addressable fire alarm system. This is a networked system with many nodes; the main node is likely located in a CACF room. The system runs Siemens’ FirePrint addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice evacuation. The system is configured for two-stage operation, however the messages and/or tones are unknown at this time.

All notification appliances are Siemens SE-MC-CW-B speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, bilingual lettering, set to 15cd).

There are Siemens HFP-11 addressable multi sensor smoke/heat detectors throughout the building, mounted on Siemens DB-11 bases.

There are Siemens HTRI-D addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

There are Siemens HTRI-R addressable relay modules serving various purposes.

There are Siemens EL-300C end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
