Walmart Supercentre is a chain of hypermarkets headquartered in Bentonville, Arkansas, USA. This particular store is located at 2051 Strachan Road SE, in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. The store was built in 2008, and the fire alarm system was partially upgraded in the 2020s.

The building is protected by a Simplex 4007ES addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the Home & Pharmacy entrance vestibule. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Edwards “Genesis” G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
There are Edwards G1R-VM remote strobes (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd) in the washrooms and in the main storefront.
Throughout the store, the devices are mounted on poles, with 2 horn/strobes and 2 remote strobes facing opposite each other.
