The Wildflower Arts Centre is an arts centre located at 3363 Spruce Drive SW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The facility is owned and operated by The City of Calgary. The building was built in 1957 as John Kinahan School, and was converted into an arts centre in 1978. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2007.

System Specifications (2007-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Mircom’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances are Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6” gong), installed in 1996.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Mircom MS-401AD addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Mircom MIX-5251RBA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors throughout the building.
There is a Mircom MIX-5251HBA addressable 190°F fixed-temperature heat detector in the kiln room.
There is a Mircom MIX-2551A addressable photoelectric smoke detector at the top of the basement stairwell.
All detectors are mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all signal circuits.
