Canadian Tire is a Canadian chain of hardware/automotive stores. This particular store is located at 9940 Macleod Trail SE, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The store was built in 1977, and was expanded in 1998. The fire alarm system was upgraded during the 1998 expansion.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by an Edwards EST3X addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the automotive entrance vestibule. The system runs Edwards’ Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
This panel was installed in the 2020s, and replaced an Edwards EST2.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong) mounted on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd).

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors at the top of each stairwell, mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.

There are EST SIGA-DH duct detector housings with EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric heads on all air handling units.

There are EST SIGA-WTM addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.

There are EST SIGA-CR addressable relay modules serving various purposes.

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
