Holiday Inn Express is a chain of hotels owned by IHG. They are headquartered in Denham, England, and have locations worldwide. This particular hotel is located at 12025 Lake Fraser Drive Southeast, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The hotel opened in 2000, and the fire alarm system is mostly original.

FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by a Notifier AFP-200 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Notifier's CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
Most common areas have System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P2415A horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd). Some areas have System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) as deficiency replacements. The public washrooms have System Sensor PC2WA horn/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, set to 15cd). The breakfast room has a Mircom "Select-A-Horn/Strobe" FHS-240R horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd/broadband). The guest rooms have Mircom MH-S25RA silenceable mini-horns (red, wall-mount) paired with System Sensor S2415A remote strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd).

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
All pull stations but one are Notifier NFM-950B conventional single-action pull stations. The pool area has a Summit SPS-101CA conventional single-action pull station as a deficiency replacement. All stations are wired to Notifier MMX-101A addressable monitor modules.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
Most areas have Notifier CPX-551A addressable ionization smoke detectors, mounted on Notifier BX501 bases. Some areas have Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors as deficiency replacements, mounted on System Sensor B210LPA low-profile bases.
Modules[edit | edit source]
There are Notifier MMX-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
There are Notifier CMX-2A addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
EOLs[edit | edit source]
There are Notifier EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
