Louise Block is a historic office building located at 1018 Macleod Trail Southeast, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building opened in 1910 as a mixed commercial/residential building, and was redeveloped in 2000 as an office building, with retail spaces on the main floor. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2000.

The building is protected by a Notifier System 2500 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main lobby. The system coding is temporal.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
Most notification appliances are System Sensor “SpectrAlert” P2415A horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd).
Some areas have System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) and System Sensor “L-Series” P2RLA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, bilingual lettering, set to 15cd), both as deficiency replacements.

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
Most pull stations are Notifier NFM-950B conventional single-action pull stations.
Deficiency replacements are as follows:
- Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull stations in some areas
- Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations in some areas
- Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations in the basement.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are System Sensor “i3” C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors at the top of the south stairs, top of the basement stairs, and at the top of the elevator shaft.
There is an Edwards C2M-PD conventional photoelectric smoke detector at the top of the north stairs, and an FDD CF-135 conventional 135 fixed temperature heat detector at the bottom of the elevator shaft.
EOLs[edit | edit source]
There are Notifier EOL-CR and Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all circuits.
