Manulife Place is a large office building in Downtown Calgary. It is located at 707 5 Ave SW, Calgary, AB. The building has 27 floors, and 564,000 square feet of space. The building opened in 2015, and has the original fire alarm system.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The main node is located in the CACF room on the main floor. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, is configured for two-stage operation, and is equipped with voice evacuation. The tones and messages are unknown at this time.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Wheelock E70-24MCW-FW speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount, 70V, set to 15cd). The loading dock has Edwards "Integrity" 757-5A-SS70W speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount, 70V, 15cd).

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable single-action two-stage pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, mounted on SIGA-SB bases. The building is also protected by a sprinkler system.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
