McDonald’s is the world’s second largest chain of fast food restaurants. This particular restaurant is located at 8235 Bowridge Crescent NW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The restaurant opened in 1987, and was extensively renovated in 2017. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2017 following the renovation.

The building is protected by a Simplex 4007ES conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the kitchen. The system coding is temporal.

There is a Simplex 4606-9202 annunciator in the west entrance vestibule.

All notification appliances are Simplex “TrueAlert” 4906-9127 horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).

All pull stations but one are Simplex 2099-9754 conventional single-action pull stations. There is an Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull station at the north entrance, left over from the previous system.

There are Potter CR-135W conventional 135° fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors throughout the restaurant.

There are Simplex 2081-9040C end of line resistor plates on all circuits.
