Quality Inn is a chain of two-star hotels across the world. They are owned by Choice Hotels, and are headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. This particular hotel is located at 8340 Sparrow Crescent, Leduc, AB, and primarily serves the Edmonton International Airport. It was built in 2003 and renovated in 2021. The fire alarm system is mostly original.

The hotel is protected by an EST QuickStart QS4 hybrid addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown. This panel has 2 ZB16 zone cards and one SLIC addressable card in it. The system runs EST's Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
Most notification appliances are from EST’s “Genesis” line of notification appliances.
Most areas have EST G1-HDVM horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, no lettering).
The guest rooms have EST G1-VM remote strobes (white, wall-mount, no lettering), along with Edwards 684-1CR silenceable mini horns.

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are numerous types of detectors throughout the hotel.
The guest rooms have Edwards 281B-PL fixed/rate-of-rise conventional heat detectors in them.
The breakfast room and restaurant both have System Sensor 5601A fixed-temperature heat detectors.
The restaurant and other areas of the hotel have System Sensor 1451A two-wire conventional ionization smoke detectors.
Modules[edit | edit source]
There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
EOLs[edit | edit source]
There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all detector, sprinkler and signal circuits.
