Royal Bay Secondary School is a public secondary/high school located at 3500 Ryder Hesjedal Way, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The school opened in 2014, and was expanded in 2018. There is one FACP controlling the original and expansion portions, and all devices are original to each wing.

FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by a Notifier NFS2-640C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main electrical room, and is equipped with a Notifier NCA-2C display. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
Booster Panels[edit | edit source]
There are several Notifier ACPS-610 booster power supplies throughout the school.
Annunciators[edit | edit source]
There is a Notifier LCD2-80 annunciator at the main entrance, along with a Notifier ACM-24AT annunciator and a Notifier SCS-8 smoke control annunciator.

All areas except washrooms have System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
Some areas have System Sensor HRA remote horns (red, wall-mount) for additional audible coverage.
The washrooms have System Sensor SRA remote strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
For exterior notification, there are System Sensor P2RKA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 75cd).

All areas except washrooms have System Sensor P2RLA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, bilingual lettering, set to 15cd).
The washrooms have System Sensor SRLA remote strobes (red, wall-mount, bilingual lettering, set to 15cd).

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
Almost all pull stations are Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull stations.
The gymnasiums have Notifier N-MPS-SA addressable single-action pull stations with Notifier MPS-LP dual-action conversion kits.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the school, mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.
There are also Notifier FSP-951A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors as deficiency replacements, mounted on System Sensor B300A-6 bases.
There are Notifier FSD-751PLA addressable photoelectric duct smoke detectors on all air handling units.
