The George Dawson Inn is a three-star hotel located at 11705 8th Street, Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada. The hotel opened in 1979, and was last renovated in 2012. The fire alarm system is original, with parts replaced as deficiencies occur.

The building is protected by a Simplex 4005 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main lobby, next to the elevator. The system coding is likely temporal.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is a Simplex 4602-9102 annunciator under the panel.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Mirtone 74303 vibrating bells (6" gong).
There is an Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bell (10" gong) in the bar as a deficiency replacement.
There is a Simplex 2901-9723 motor bell (6" gong) on the 3rd floor as a defieicny replacements.

Most pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.
Some areas have Simplex MS-301C conventional single-action pull stations.
There is a Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull station near the restaurant as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are System Sensor 1412A conventional ionization smoke detectors throughout the building.
Each guest room and some areas have Edwards 281B-PL conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
There are FDD CR135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in some rooms.
There are System Sensor 5601A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors as deficiency replacements.

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
