The United Farmers of Alberta is the farmers' association in Alberta. This page will cover their distribution centre, located at 6510 20 St NW, Edmonton, Alberta. The facility was built in 2000, and the fire alarm system is mostly original.
System Specifications
FACP
The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the sprinkler room. The system runs Notifier's CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
This panel replaced a Notifier AFP-200 in 2022.
Notification Appliances
Most audible notification appliances are Notifier KMS-10-24VDC/P motor bells (10" gong).
There are some Notifier KMS-10-24A motor bells (10" gong) as deficiency replacements.
There is one System Sensor SSM24-10A motor bell (10" gong) in the office area as a deficiency replacement.
All above bells are mounted on Wheelock RSSP-2415W-FR strobe plates (red, 15cd).
For exterior notification, there is a Notifier KMS-10-24VDC/P motor bell paired with a Wheelock WM3T-24 remote strobe (red, 1.5cd) outside the sprinkler room.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
Most pull stations are Notifier NFM-950B conventional single-action pull stations.
There are two Fire-Lite MPS-950BF conventional single-action pull stations by Bay 12 and one office exit as deficiency replacements.
All pull stations are wired to Notifier MMX-101A addressable monitor modules, located behind each station.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are Notifier FSP-951A-IV addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in each stairwell, mounted on System Sensor BX501A bases.
Each RTU has a System Sensor DNRA duct smoke detector housing with a Notifier FSP-951A-IV addressable photoelectric head.
Modules
There are Notifier MMX-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches, as well as the fire pump's run and trouble contacts.
There are Notifier CMX-2A addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
EOLs
There are Notifier EOL-CR end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
