Walmart Logistics is the supply & distribution division of Walmart. This page will cover PDC 6080, which is the perishable distribution centre serving Alberta. The building is located at 261039 Wagon Wheel Crescent, in Rocky View County, Alberta, Canada. The building was built in 2010, and the fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. This is a networked system with two nodes: Node 1 is located in the maintenance office, and Node 2 is located in the receiving lobby. The system runs Edwards' Signature addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal coding is 20BPM, and the alarm signal coding is temporal.

Subpanels

There are approximately 40 pre-action sprinkler panels in this building. Most panels are Potter PFC-4410RC conventional releasing panels, with some Notifier RP-2001 conventional releasing panels and Notifier NFS-320C addressable panels also installed.
All panels report back to the EST3 network as points.

Annunciators

There is an Edwards EST3-12ANN annunciator in the main entrance vestibule.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Edwards "Integrity" 757-8A-T horn/strobes (red, 110cd); these are also used for outdoor notification in some areas.
The office areas have a mix of Edwards "Genesis" G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd) and Edwards G1R-HD remote horns (red, no marking).
The office area washrooms have Edwards GC-HDVM horn/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in most sprinkler rooms, the maintenance area, in the energy centre, and in all electrical rooms.
There are EST SIGA-HRS addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in all fire pump rooms.
All aforementioned detectors are mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.
There are FDD CR-135-EWP conventional explosion-proof 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the penthouses.
There are Edwards 302-ET conventional high-temperature heat detectors in one penthouse.
Protectowire linear heat detection is used in all areas protected by pre-action systems.
The building's ammonia leak detection system is connected to the fire alarm system.

Modules

There are EST SIGA-MCT2 addressable dual-input rack-mount monitor modules supervising all sprinkler switches, the ammonia leak detection, generator run/trouble contacts, fire pump run/trouble contacts, and all pre-action panels.
There are EST SIGA-CR addressable relay modules serving various purposes.
There are EST SIGA-MCC2 and SIGA-MCC1S signal modules controlling all NAC circuits.
There are EST SIGA-IM addressable isolator modules on all SLCs.

EOLs

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on many circuits supervised by monitor modules, and on all signal circuits.
