2160 78 Avenue NE is the address of Air Canada's ground support equipment building. It is the main service shop for all ground vehicles in Air Canada's fleet. It was built in the 1950s, but the system was installed in 2005.

FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by a Simplex 4008 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main entrance. The system runs Simplex's IDNet addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
All notification appliances are System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P1224MCA horn/strobes (red, wall mount, set to 30cd/electromechanical).
Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]
Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
All pull stations but two are Simplex 4099-9001 addressable single-action pull stations.
The paint booth has Potter MPEX explosion-proof conventional single-action pull stations. These are wired to Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor modules.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are Simplex "TrueAlarm" 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors and Simplex 4098-9733 addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the offices, hallways, and low-ceiling areas of the main shop. All detectors are mounted on Simplex 4098-9792 addressable bases.
