‘’’5025 90 Ave SE’’’ is the address of a small industrial plaza in the Foothills Industrial neighborhood of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The plaza consists of United Rentals and Polymer Distribution. The building was built in 2002, and the fire alarm system is mostly original.
System Specifications
FACP
The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the Unit 101 warehouse vestibule. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
This panel replaced a Notifier AFP-200 in the early 2020s.
Annunciators
There are two Notifier ACM-24AT annunciators in the Unit 101 main entrance vestibule.
Notification Appliances
Most notification appliances are System Sensor “SpectrAlert” P2415A horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd).
The second floor of Unit 101 has System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RA-B horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, bilingual lettering, set to 15cd).
There is one System Sensor “L-Series” P2RLA horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, bilingual lettering, set to 15cd) in the Unit 101 warehouse as a deficiency replacement.
For outdoor notification, there is a System Sensor S1224MCKA weatherproof remote strobe (red, wall-mount) outside the entrance containing the FACP.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
All pull stations are Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations, wired to Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are a mix of Notifier FSI-751A and FSI-851A addressable ionization smoke detectors at the top of each stairwell, with one additional FSI-851A located in the main electrical room.
There are Notifier FST-751A addressable 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in the storage, phone and lunch rooms.
All aforementioned detectors excluding the main electrical room are mounted on Notifier B710LPA bases; the main electrical room detector is mounted on a System Sensor B210LPA base.
There is a Notifier FST-951A addressable 135°F fixed-temperature heat detector in the Unit 101 lounge area, mounted on a System Sensor B300A-6 base.
Modules
There are Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Notifier FRM-1A addressable relay modules for furnace and fan shutdown.
EOLs
There are Notifier EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
