Alberta Health Services is the governing body of health care services in the province of Alberta. This page will cover EMS Station #5, located at 4824 4 St NW, Calgary, AB. The station opened in 1994, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in 2017.

System Specifications (2017-present)

FACP

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main entrance. The system runs Notifier's FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
The washrooms have System Sensor SRA remote strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
For exterior notification, there is a System Sensor SRKA weatherproof remote strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 75cd) outside the entrance.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in the stairwell, phone room, dorm rooms and dorm hallway.
The rest of the corridors and rooms, including the apparatus bay have Notifier FST-851RA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
All above detectors are mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.

Modules

There is a Notifier ISO-6A isolator card in the main FACP.

EOLs

There are Notifier EOL-CR end-of-line resistor plates on all signal circuits.
