The University of Alberta is a public research university located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This page will cover the Anthony Henday Hall building. The building opened in 1962, and the fire alarm system was fully upgraded in 2021.

FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by a Simplex 4100ES addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main entrance. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol for the SLCs and IDNAC for one NAC, and is equipped with voice evacuation. The messages and/or tones are unknown at this time.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
All indoor notification appliances are Simplex “TrueAlert” 4906-9154 speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, set to 15cd). For outdoor notification, there are two Wheelock ET-1080R weatherproof remote speakers (red, wall-mount) and two Simplex 49VO-RF weatherproof addressable remote strobes (red, wall-mount) mounted in pairs on each side of the main entrance.

All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9004 addressable single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, mounted on Simplex 4098-9792 bases.
EOLs[edit | edit source]
There are Simplex 2081-9040C end of line resistor plates on all signal circuits.
