BGC Canada is a nonprofit organization that runs boys & girls clubs in Canada. This particular centre is located at 10090 93 Ave, Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. The centre opened in 2000, and the fire alarm system is mostly original, with parts replaced as deficiencies occur.
System Specifications
FACP
The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Notifier's CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal for all horn/strobes, and continuous for the outdoor bell.
This panel replaced the original Notifier AFP-200 in 2025.
Notification Appliances
Most notification appliances are System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P2415A horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd, set to electromechanical).
Some washrooms have System Sensor S2415A remote strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd) mounted on the ceiling.
For exterior notification, there is a Notifier KMS-6-24A motor bell (6" gong), installed as a deficiency replacement for the original System Sensor SSM24-6A motor bell (6" gong).
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
All pull stations are Notifier NFM-950B conventional single-action pull stations, wired to Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules.
Automatic Detection Devices
There is a Notifier FSI-751A addressable ionization smoke detector in the main stairwell, mounted on a Notifier B710LPA base.
The other stairwell has a Notifier CPX-551A addressable ionization smoke detector, mounted on a System Sensor BX501A base.
The electrical room has an FDD CF-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detector, wired to a Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor module.
Modules
There are Notifier MMX-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
EOLs
There are Notifier EOL-CR end-of-line resistor plates on all signal circuits; the sprinkler and conventional heat detector circuits have resistors in the devices.
