The Banff Inn is a hotel located at 501 Banff Avenue, Banff, Alberta. The hotel opened in 1993, and the fire alarm system is original except for the panel.

FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by a Grinnell Series M-1000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule, and is installed in the cabinet of the previous panel, a Simplex 4002. The system coding is likely continuous.
The Series M-1000 replaced the original Simplex 4002 in the 2000s.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
All common area notification appliances are Simplex 2901-9722 motor bells (10” gong) on Simplex 4903-9101 strobe plates (1.5cd).
The guest rooms have Wheelock MIZ-24-WS mini horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 1.5cd).

All pull stations are Simplex 2099-9901 conventional single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are Simplex 2098-9110 conventional 2-wire ionization smoke detectors throughout the hotel’s common areas. There is also a sprinkler system.
