Bow Valley High School is a high school located at 2000 River Heights Drive, in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada. The school is owned and operated by Rocky View Schools. The school opened in 2000, and the fire alarm system is mostly original.

FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by an Edwards iO1000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Edwards’ Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
This panel was installed in 2020 replacing an Edwards EST2.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
Most notification appliances are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong) mounted on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd).
There is one Edwards MB6-24 motor bell (6” gong) mounted on an Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plate (15cd), this was a deficiency replacement.
For outdoor notification, there is an Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bell (10” gong) outside the building.

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in some areas, mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.
Modules[edit | edit source]
There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
EOLs[edit | edit source]
There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
