The CN Walker Diesel Shop is a diesel locomotive shop located at 12103 127 Ave NW, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The building was built in 1959, and was expanded in 1978. The fire alarm system was installed in 1978, and only supervises the working area.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by an Alison Control (ACI) A888-M87 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located at the southeast shop exit. The system coding is continuous.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

There are two notification appliances; one is a Faraday 3460 vibrating bell (6” gong) on the east side, and an Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bell (10” gong) on the west side.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

The south side pull stations are Ansul BGS conventional break-glass stations.
The north side has two Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations under STI “Stopper” covers.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

None present. There is a deluge system installed in the building.
