FACP

The building is protected by a Simplex 4100U addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

All common area notification appliances are Simplex “TrueAlert” 4906-9127 horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
Some dorm rooms have Simplex 4901-9851C mini-horns (red, wall-mount, silenceable).
For exterior notification, there is a Simplex 4906-9131 weatherproof horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 60cd) outside the entrance.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in the living areas.
There are Simplex 4098-9733 addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the apparatus bay, kitchen, storage, electrical and mechanical rooms.
All aforementioned detectors are mounted on Simplex 4098-9792 bases.
There is a Simplex 4098-9755 duct smoke detector housing on the air handling unit, with a Simplex 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric head.

Modules

There is a Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor module supervising the kitchen suppression system.
There are Simplex 4090-9116 addressable isolator modules on the SLC.
