Carewest Garrison Green is a senior living facility located at 3108 Don Ethell Blvd SW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The facility is owned and operated by Alberta Health Services. The building was built in 2010, and the fire alarm system is original.
System Specifications
FACP
The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the fire control room. The system runs Edwards’ Signature addressable protocol, is equipped with voice evacuation, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal is a 20BPM tone, and the alarm signal is a temporal tone. Live “CODE RED” announcements are made by site personnel in lieu of pre-recorded messages.
Annunciators
There are Edwards EST3-LCDANN annunciators equipped with LCDXL1 displays at each nurse’s station, in the main entrance vestibule, behind the front desk, and at the main floor rear entrance.
Notification Appliances
All aboveground notification appliances are Edwards “Genesis” GC-S7VM speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, no marking, 70V, set to 15cd).
The parkade has Edwards G4-S7VM speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount, no marking, 70V, set to 15cd).
For outdoor notification, there is an Edwards CS405-7A-T weatherproof remote strobe (red, 15/75cd) outside the rear entrance.
