Denny’s is a diner-style restaurant chain. This particular restaurant is located at 1116 17 Ave SW, Calgary, AB. The restaurant was built in 1964 as Boston Pizza, was renovated in 2002 and became Denny’s in 2021. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2002 and 2021.

System Specifications (2021-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule, and has a Notifier XP6-MAA zone card for conventional initiating. The system coding is temporal.
The NFS-320C replaced a Mircom Series FA-1000 in 2021, which in turn replaced a Notifier CFP-2410B.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All indoor notification appliances are System Sensor “SpectrAlert” P2415A horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd/electromechanical).
For exterior notification, there is a System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RKA weatherproof horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 60cd) outside the entrance.

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are FDD CR-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in some areas.
The top of the stairwell has a System Sensor “i3” C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detector.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier EOL-CR end-of-line resistor plates on all circuits.
