Galaxy Cinemas is a chain of retro-themed movie theaters owned by Cineplex Entertainment. This particular cinema is located at 3292 Dunmore Rd SE, Medicine Hat, AB. It opened in 1998 and the fire alarm system is original.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by an Edwards EST2 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Edwards’ Signature addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal is 20BPM, followed by temporal for the alarm signal.

All notification appliances are Edwards “Integrity” 757-5A-T horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd).

There are EST SIGA-IPHSB 4D addressable multisensor detectors throughout, they can detect smoke (ionization and photoelectric) and heat. They are mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.

There are EST SIGA-WTM addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are EST SIGA-CR addressable relay modules serving various purposes.

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
