The Calgary Zoo is a large zoo in Calgary, Alberta. The zoo is owned by the Calgary Zoological Society. This page will cover the Gateway to Asia building, which houses animals such as tigers and monkeys. The building opened in 1964 as Panda Passage, and was mostly rebuilt in 2007. The fire alarm system was mostly installed in 2007.

The building is protected by an EST QuickStart QS1 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
This QuickStart was installed in 2017, replacing an older variant.
