Kamp Kiwanis is a summer camp located at the interchange of Highway 8 and Highway 22, in Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada. This page will cover the Venturer lodge, which was built in 2001. The fire alarm system was mostly upgraded in the 2010s, with the horn/strobes being original.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Mircom FA-1025T conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located at the east entrance. The system coding is temporal.
This panel replaced an Edwards EST1-2Z3 in the 2010s.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances are a mix of Edwards "Integrity PowerSaver" 757H-15PS horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd) and 757H-15PSW horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, 15cd).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull stations. These were installed in 2025, replacing Simplex 2099-9901 conventional single-action pull stations, installed new old stock.

Automatic Detection Devices

Most areas have System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors.
There are System Sensor 5601A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the kitchen and boiler/janitor rooms.

EOLs

There are Mircom MP-300 end-of-line resistor plates on all circuits.
