Leduc Community Hospital is a hospital located at 4210 48 St, Leduc, Alberta. It is owned and operated by Alberta Health Services. The hospital was originally built in 1961, and was expanded and renovated in 1985. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2006.

FACP

The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. There are multiple nodes as part of a network, one panel is located in the security office. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice-evacuation. The system is configured for two-stage operation, however the tones are unknown at this time. Live “Code Red” announcements are made by security during an alarm.

Annunciators

There are Edwards EST3-LCDANN annunciators at all nurses’ stations. There is also a full active graphic annunciator.

Notification Appliances

All audible notification appliances are Atlas Sound VTF-17UCR re-entrant speakers (red, flush-mount, 70V), installed in the 1985 renovation.
Certain areas have Edwards “Genesis” GCRF-VM remote strobes (red, ceiling-mount, FIRE marking, set to 30cd).

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable two-stage pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the hospital’s common areas and patient rooms.
There are EST SIGA-HRS addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in some areas.
All detectors are mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.

Modules

There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are EST SIGA-CR addressable relay modules serving various purposes.

EOLs

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
