McKinnon Court is an apartment complex owned and operated by Boardwalk. This page will cover Building 85, located at 1185 McKinnon Drive NE, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building was built in 1981, and the fire alarm system is mostly original.

The building is protected by an Edwards 2280 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system coding is continuous.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Edwards "Durabel" 6100D vibrating bells (6" gong).
There are two Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6" gong) on the third floor as deficiency replacements.
Notification appliances are located throughout all corridors; there are no insuite devices.

There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors throughout all aboveground corridors and at the top of each stairwell.
There are Edwards 245A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in the boiler, storage and laundry rooms.
There is a Mircom TD-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detector in the basement hall as a deficiency replacement.

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all circuits.
