McKinnon Manor is a set of two apartment buildings owned by Boardwalk. This page will cover building 1, located at 25 McKinnon Road NE, Calgary, Alberta. The building was completed in 1981, and the fire alarm system was partially upgraded in the 2010s, all bells are original.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Mircom FA-1000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system coding is temporal.
This panel replaced an Edwards 2280.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are Edwards "Durabel" 6100D vibrating bells (6" gong).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

Most pull stations are Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull stations, installed in the 2010s and as deficiency replacements.
There are some Edwards 275-C111 conventional single-action pull stations, these replaced Edwards 274-101 conventional single-action pull stations after a recall.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors in all corridors and stairwells.
The laundry and boiler rooms have Mircom TD-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors.
There are Mircom TD-200 conventional 200°F fixed-temperature heat detectors above the boilers.

EOLs

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all circuits.
