Meadowlark Health & Shopping Centre is a shopping mall and medical centre located at the intersection of Meadowlark Road and 87 Ave, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The mall was built in 1963, and was extensively renovated in 1992. The fire alarm system was upgraded during the renovation, and the main FACP was upgraded in 2015.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Fire-Lite MS-9600LSC conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the sprinkler control room. The system is configured for two-stage operation. The alert coding is 20BPM, and the alarm coding is temporal. The two-stage timer length is five minutes.
This panel replaced a Simplex 4100 in 2015.

There is a Fire-Lite ANN-80C annunciator in the Entrance 1 vestibule.

There is a Fire-LIte FCPS-24S8C booster power supply on the system.

Main Mall[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Simplex 2901-9712 vibrating bells (10” gong) mounted on Simplex 4903-9101 strobe plates (4.75cd).
There is a Simplex 2901-9722 motor bell (10” gong) by Meadowlark Health, and a System Sensor SSM24-10A motor bell (10” gong) is also present in that area as a deficiency replacement; both bells are mounted on the original strobe plates.
There is an Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bell (10” gong) mounted on an Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plate (15cd) as a deficiency replacement.
There are Simplex “TrueAlert” 4904-9168 remote strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd) in all washrooms.

Shoppers Drug Mart[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances are Simplex 2901-9724 motor bells (10” gong) mounted on Wheelock RSSP-24MCW strobe plates (red, set to 15cd), installed in 2003.

Insight[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Wheelock MT-24-LSM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15/75cd, set to horn).
There are Wheelock MT-24MCW-FR horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to horn/15cd) as deficiency replacements.
