Mellon Arena, formerly the Civic Arena, was an arena located at 66 Mario Lemieux Place, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. The arena had a capacity of approximately 16,900 and was home to the Pittsburgh Penguins. The arena was built in 1961, and was demolished in 2012. The fire alarm system was installed in 2000.

The building was protected by a Simplex 4120 networked fire alarm system. All nodes were Simplex 4100+ addressable panels, located in various places.
