OCL is a general contracting company. This page will cover the fabrication shop, located at 21314 Township Road 554, Fort Saskatchewan, AB. The shop was built in 2010, and the fire alarm system is mostly original with a panel replacement in 2012.

System Specifications (2010-present)

FACP

The building is protected by an EST iO500 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the electrical room. The system runs EST's Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
This panel replaced the original EST QuickStart QS1 in 2012.

Notification Appliances

All indoor notification appliances are Edwards "Genesis" G1-HDVM horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
For exterior notification, there is an Edwards "Integrity" 757-7A-T horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, 15/75cd) outside the south end of the shop.


Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA-HRS addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors throughout the working area.
There is an EST SIGA-IPHS 4D addressable multisensor smoke/heat detector in the electrical room, installed in 2014.
All detectors are mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.

EOLs

There is an Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plate on the signal circuit.
